A Week in Review

I saw on my friends blog how she will do a little week in review. I thought that might work better for me since I am having such a hard time lately getting on and writing about anything. So here goes.

Last week started with baseball, imagine that. Berek had a game on Monday night. He pitched a good, hit good and we won the game. This season has been a bit crazy. We've had a split with the wins and loss' and 3 ties!

Wednesday Makenna's activity day group did a Mother's Day program for us. Each girl picked something to play or sing then we had cookies and juice. And I can't forget the gifts! They went to the dollar store and each picked something for their moms. I got lotion.

Friday came and I cashed in on my other Mother's Day gift. I got a gift certificate to Z Place for a massage, facial, manicure, and pedicure. It all lasted about 3 hours. 3 HOURS OF HEAVEN! It was the best. I was so relaxed I just wanted to curl up in my car and take a nap instead of driving home. But we had plans so there wasn't time. We had the funnest service/dessert auction for the youth in our ward. It was a blast and we left with many munchies and certificates for slave work.

Saturday at last. There was a game at 8:00 am but the boys had to be there at 7. Me and the girls rode our bikes to the ball field. It was a warm morning and as it went on it was becoming a bit spicy. So what do you do when it is hot out?!?!?! BOATING! We packed up the gear, the kids, and off we were to Fish Hook. The day was hot but the water was freezing (58*). That didn't stop us though. We did a little wake boarding and then moved right along to trying to dump the kids on the tube. It was so fun having the boat back and out of storage. I missed it much. Just can't wait for this weekend to come now :)

My Wife Is The Best Mother!

Hello blogging world. This is my first attempt at posting on a blog so I hope it works. One might ask what would provoke a computer illiterate father of four to attempt such a thing, well the only answer is to thank my awesome wife.
Most of you that will be reading this already know how lucky myself and my kids are to have Marianne as a wife and mother. I have never seen, and never will, a mother who is more dedicated and loving with her kids. I am grateful that my Heavenly Father pushed me towards a woman who is so patient and kind when it is needed most. She makes up for all of my shortcomings and then some. I see how my kids act and I am proud to be their father even though the credit belongs to Marianne. EVERYTHING she does and thinks is about the kids. I know that being a stay-at-home mom can be a drain and is short on glamour but I can think of no other occupation so important. Marianne, you are the very best at what you do. I appreciate every minute that you selflessly give for our children and myself. You will never know how much I love and respect you as a wife and mother. Thank you and I love you!

More pictures of our fun

My sister sent me a few of her pictures she took on our little vacation. I have to explain the cow ones. This cow was in one of the gift shop/stores so I talked my sister into going down and putting her mouth on the udder. This was as close as I could get her to go. Well, while we were in the process of setting up the perfect pose and making sure no one was watching, some one was. A nice little old lady came by and told me not to be shy, to get down and do it with my sister and she would take the picture. I was shocked!! This sweet little old lady wanted me to my mouth where!?! It is one thing for me to torture my sister but this is me we're talking about. After my shock and laughing till I was crying, we realized she thought we were wanting to pretend Andra was milking the cow, so therefore, cow picture #2 taken by the sweet little old lady. And for more of your blogging pleasure, here is a link to me making a total idiot of myself. ENJOY!
