Random Pictures

Summer is over. Kind of sad if you ask me. I love summer, love the kids home, love the warm weather. Once the kids start school, life gets a big busy. Any who......... I've put a few very random pictures up of the kids and tell a bit what the kids are up to now (which has nothing to do with the pictures).

Starting with kid #1 "BEAR"-FOOTBALL. This is the love of this kids life. He loves it more than baseball. I think he would pick it over food. He has come home from practice and games with bruises under the chin, on the arms, legs, and ankles. He plays hard and gets pretty stinky, but he loves it and we love watching him. It brings a big smile to his face.

Now for the famous Kid #2 "MUD-kenna"(given by her uncle): She is still taking piano lessons. Piano comes pretty easy for her. She has enjoyed playing the piano and we have enjoyed having at least one member of our family being musical. She also has started up gymnastics. Once a week for an hour she is out on the mat. She also got a new haircut for school for those of you that haven't seen her. It is quite cute. It is shoulder length and is a little shorter in the back then in the front. This style is a perfect fit for Makenna.

Kid #3 "TATER-TOT"- Tay is enjoying kindergarten. The best part of her day is getting to ride the bus home. She has been learning to read at home too. Everyday we do a lesson out of a book we have. It is only 10-15 min a day and by the 60th lesson, all the kids have been reading. She loves it. She has already sounded out and read a few words. She is also in gymnastics. This is perfect for her. It gives her a chance to get rid of the gallons of energy she has inside her.

Kid #4 "BOO"- Bay is one busy kid. She is always going, sometimes we just don't know where. She has become quite the artist. Sharpies are her favorite and those range in the beautiful colors of green, blue, and black. We have had the privilege of painting 3 walls and scrubbing a front door the last couple months. She is quite the cutie and had mom and dad pretty wrapped. All it seems she has to do is say "please" in the cute little voice of hers and poof, it happens.

Yes, we have some fun kids. We love them and enjoy hanging out with them. Great entertainment.

Better late than never

With school back in force, football starting, and now adding gymnastics to the mix, I have put off for too long posting the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"'s for my two oldest.

Berek was happy to have his birthday fall on a Monday this year, Labor Day, which meant no school. He thought it was pretty cool that not only did it fall on Labor Day, but he was born on Labor Day also and his dad was on the news for the first Labor Day baby (the news must have been pretty desperate that day). We celebrated with a few of his friends on the Saturday before by going to a movie, so on his actual birthday we went boating. It wasn't the best of weather but it was still fun. He turned a WHOPPING 11 this year. Do they ever stop?!?! He is definitely turning into our little man even down to the smelly pits. We love him anyway.

Now for my little lady Makenna. Her birthday fell just 2 days after Berek's and she turned a beautiful 9. She wanted to skip school but that was not a possibility. I reminded her it was early release though. After school we picked her up and headed to SONIC for slushies during happy hour. I LOVE HAPPY HOUR. She had her favorite for dinner, corn on the cob, and then we busted into the cake. Friday was her big celebration. She chose going to the movies with some friends also and it just so happened we had the theatre all to ourselves. The girls loved it and I loved it because I didn't have to worry about being kicked out. She is definitely our little mother in our family and we'd be lost without her. We love you MAC.
